Who we Are
Immanuel Lutheran School is an independent Christian school and is a mission of Immanuel Lutheran Church. We are part of the Missouri Synod Lutheran Church and started with a preschool in 1977. We now have classes for preschool students through 8th grade and offer before and after school care.
What we Believe
Student Body
Immanuel has 325 students who represent over 50 area congregations. About 25% of our students and their families are members at Immanuel Lutheran Church. About 10% have no church affiliation. The remainder attend churches in the region that include Catholic, Covenant, Baptist, Reformed, Presbyterian, and non-denominational.
Standardized Test Scores
Immanuel Lutheran School students in 2nd through 8th grade take the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills in February each year. Our school's composite score from the February 2011 testing was 95.4%.
Accreditation
Immanuel holds dual accreditation through the National Lutheran Schools Association (NLSA) and North Central Association (NCA).
Asbestos Management Plan
The Immanuel Lutheran Church and School building constructed in 2007 in compliance to Federal and State requirements has been constructed of asbestos free materials. Any questions regarding asbestos in the building should be directed to the Business Manager, Rhonda Warren, in the church and school offices.
Location
We are located at 4650 Sunview Drive in north Loveland. This is on the southeast corner of the intersection of Highway 287 and 50th Street. This location provides easy access from Northern Colorado communities including Fort Collins, Windsor, and Berthoud.
Why Should I Enroll My Children?
As a parent, you have many choices when it comes to educating your children. At Immanuel, we believe they need the daily nourishment of the Word of God in their lives, just as they need food to sustain their bodies. The world is working hard to pull them away from their faith in Jesus Christ. We work in partnership with you to nourish their body, mind, and spirit toward Christ.
Area high schools welcome our Immanuel graduates because they are respectful, prepared academically, and have good study habits. Our Iowa Tests of Basic Skills scores speak for themselves. Students have a wide variety of sports, music, and other extracurricular activities to choose from where they have the opportunity to live their faith, try new things, exhibit leadership, and have fun.
After graduation at Immanuel, most of our students attend one of the public high schools in Northern Colorado. This provides a time for them to transition from a Christian to a more secular educational environment while still living at home under your guidance and before moving onto college or career.
