Mrs. Darcy Peterson is one of our kindergarten teachers. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota. She taught first, second and third grade before coming to Immanuel. After 10 years of being a full time stay-at-home mom, Mrs. Peterson returned to Immanuel, teaching preschool for 2 years. In 2008 she moved to kindergarten full time. This is her fourth year of teaching at Immanuel.
She has been married to her husband Scott for 16 years. Together they have 1 daughter, Johannah, who is a seventh grader at Immanuel. They also have a spoiled Golden Retriever named Reagan. She enjoys women’s Bible studies, watching her daughter play club volleyball, and traveling with her family.
Teaching is more than a career for Mrs. Peterson. She believes it is her purpose in life. From an early age she felt God leading her to be a teacher. If you ask her, she would tell you that she has been blessed to teach at Immanuel where she can share God’s redeeming grace every day.
