History

1977—Immanuel opens a preschool at 1101 Hilltop Drive with 31 children.  Warren Ruland is the principal.

1981—Added 10,000 square feet of classroom space.

1982—School has grown to 145 children in preschool through 4th grade.

1983—Dave Geidel joins Immanuel as principal. 

1990—Immanuel has added 5th through 8th grade, built a gymnasium, and added 17,000 square feet of space.

1995—Added full-time daycare Monday through Friday. 

1997—Added modular buildings to accommodate a growing school.

2000—Purchased 25.5 acres of land for a future relocation at 4650 Sunview Drive.

2006—Area voters pass a school bond initiative so that the Thompson R2-J School District can purchase the 1101 Hilltop Drive location as a site for Ferguson High School.

 

2007—Mark L'Heureux becomes principal.  Immanuel breaks ground on a new 72,000 square foot facility.  

2008—We hand over the keys for 1101 Hilltop Drive to the Thompson School District in early June, temporarily move into Laurene Edmondson Elementary for the summer, and move into 4650 Sunview Drive in late July.
