Principal's Message

Welcome to the Immanuel Lutheran School web site. We thank you for making an online visit to our school, exploring our campus and seeing the programs and people that make us a strong and dynamic Christian school community.

I sincerely appreciate families who take the time to check out educational options for their children. Your children, beginning in Kindergarten, will spend at least six hours each day at school; most likely that is more of their waking time than will be spent with you. During that time, your child will be under the influence and guidance of a program and teachers that have tremendous potential to affect the growth of your child. Selecting the school that you wish to entrust with such responsibility is very important and must not be taken lightly. We thank you for considering ILS as a possibility.

Like you, we care about the full development of your child. Our objective at ILS is to provide a high quality education in a loving, Christian environment. We will work to guide students in many facets of their developmental growth, including: spiritual, intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and aesthetic.

God created each child as a unique individual, and we endeavor to help children discover their gifts, reach for their potential, and grow into confident, faithful, joyful members of God’s family.   Formal schooling is only one part of a child’s education. Together with you and your child, we will contribute to your child’s total growth and development. Immanuel Lutheran School exists to:

  • Share the Good News of Jesus Christ.
  • Assist parents in the Christian education of their children.
  • Provide the opportunity for children to study Scripture under the direction of Christian teachers.
  • Encourage students to respond to God by becoming active in love, prayer, service, and worship.
  • Welcome children into a community of faith and friendship.
  • Stress excellence in academic subjects, and include music, the arts, technology, and physical education as integral components of their studies.
  • Create an atmosphere of loving acceptance in which all children will learn to like themselves and recognize their uniqueness as God’s children, never forgetting how much God loves them.

Don’t grant any school the right and privilege of having your children without knowing as fully as possible what will be happening during the eleven hundred hours of a school year.   I hope that you enjoy learning more about ILS and how our school makes a difference in the lives of its students and families.

Blessings,
