Unchanging Values

We believe that "God wants all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth."
1 Timothy 2:4; John 8:32

We believe that all people are sinners and that they come into a right relationship with God as
Father in heaven through faith in Jesus who atoned for human sins. John 3:16-18; 8:34-36

We believe the Bible is God's Word. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 God's Word is seen in two aspects:
Law and Gospel. The Law exposes and condemns sin and shows us how to live according to
God's standards. The Gospel provides a climate of grace in which God's perfect love,
forgiveness, healing, and spiritual growth are realized. Romans 3:19-26; 5:12-21

We believe that the Holy Spirit, working through the Word and the Sacraments, brings people into
a loving relationship with Jesus and that faith in Jesus is God's way to take people to eternal life
with Him. 1 Corinthians 6: 11

We believe that the Scripture should be taught and applied to every situation in a person's life.
2 Timothy 3: 16-17

We believe that the Christian school exists to fulfill the great commission that Jesus gave His
church to "Go into all the world and make disciples, baptizing them in the name of the Father,
Son, and Holy Spirit and to teach them to obey everything I have commanded you."
Matthew 28:18-20

We believe that educating in a Christ-centered environment equips people to articulate and share
their faith and live out the Great Commandment to love God and neighbor. Matthew 22:37-40;
Deuteronomy 6:5-9; Leviticus 19: 18

We believe that a child's education, whether in the church, day or home school, is predominantly
influenced by the family and that the Christian church and school exist to support, complement,
and enhance the parental obligation to "Train up a child in the way he should go." Proverbs 22:6

We believe that all people are fearfully and wonderfully made, given unique gifts and abilities,
and by the love of God, are precious in His sight. Psalm 139: 14

We believe that Christian education attends to and contributes to personal spiritual growth and
responsible citizenship. Romans 12:1-2; II Corinthians 8:1-7

We believe that it is important to teach people to be responsible stewards of time, abilities,
income, influence, and possessions. Matthew 25:14-30

We believe that parents and teachers working together serve children best in fostering Christian
character and purpose. Ephesians 6:4
