Lisa chose to become a teacher because of the influence of some excellent English teachers she had in high school. During college, she realized that her dream was to teach early elementary children. She enjoys teaching at Immanuel because of the freedom to pray with the kids at the drop of a hat when something is wrong or someone is hurt. Teaching in a public school taught her not to take for granted what she could say to kids about their loving heavenly Father.
Lisa has Australian Cattle Dogs and Border Collies that she trains to compete in dog agility competitions.
Her dream job as a child was to work with animals through tagging and tracking them.
