It will be a "Dandy" of an evening! The ILS middle school students proudly present their spring musical "Yankee Doodle Dandy" on April 14 and 15. It's a story of the angelic spirit of Broadway's song and dance man, George M. Cohan who appears on earth to help stage a Centennial Pagaent for the Rocky Mountain town of Snookersville. Old Emily Snooker, great granddaughter of the founder, tries to force the teens of the town to stage a hilariously dull and phony historical play, but is outmaneuvered by Cohan and friends.
Between November 2009 and December 2010, the Immanuel Lutheran School Endowment Fund increased in value by almost $34,000. This growth occurred as a result of contributions to the fund as well as growth in the fund itself. The total value of the fund was poised to cross over the $300K threshold in the ensuing quarter.
A big THANK YOU to all the volunteers, teachers, staff, and students that made the Community Preview and Open House a success this Tuesday. Everyone who came loved the singing, dancing, art displays, cheering, food, band concert, atrium displays, sports demos, free throw contest, classroom displays, tours, conversation, etc. We gave many tours to prospective ILS families in an atmosphere that really showcased what Immanuel is all about. The referrals you made to friends and family made that possible and made National Lutheran Schools Week a lot of fun.
Open Enrollment for the 2011-2012 school year begins January 31! Immanuel Familes may register January 18-31. If you are looking for the right school for your child, please attend one of our informative Open Houses to talk to parents and get a tour of the school, Thursdays 10-1, now through the end of February.
