Immanuel's Child Care Program exists to provide a quality Christian environment where children can be nurtured according to God's will. We provides a seamless transition between school and daycare for your child if your schedule prevents you from being at Immanuel during regular drop-off or pick-up times. Our regular hours are 7am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, with the exception of some school holidays. Please consult our daycare staff regarding hours on school holidays. All children who attend Immanuel Lutheran School and their siblings ages 2 years 6 months to 14 years will be accepted into Immanuel's Child Care Program.
Registration and Fees
Registration for the school year Child Care Program will take place at orientation in August. At the time of registration, each family will be required to sign a contract stating their intent to use the Child Care Center facilities. This will include the hours and days of service for each child the family wishes to enroll in the program. A registration fee of $40 per child is payable at this time. This registration fee will hold your spot in day care for the hours you have contracted. Standard policy requires parents to fill out a new contract, prior to the time of service, if their hours of service change. Prior to attending the following must be completed:
There is a flat rate for child care of $3.50/hour for contracted services and $5.50/hour for drop-ins. Children arriving before 7:00am or remaining at the center past 6:00pm will be charged $1.00 for every 1 minute of service. Fees are billed on a weekly basis. Your day-care is billed the first business day; after the week daycare was used. Payments are due to the bookkeeper's office by Friday of the same week.
Sign-in and Sign-out
Parents or guardians of students participating in daycare are required to sign them in at the book at the Child Care Center front desk and bring them into the program room. It is the parent's responsibility to see that the group leader or teacher is aware that their child is on the premises. Child Care Staff are not responsible for children in case of accident or injury if the parents have not entered the building and signed their child into the program.
It is important that your child is signed out as they leave with you. Parents who have other adults picking up their children should provide the Child Care Center Staff with a written note stating such. These adults must show proof of identification to our staff at the time of pick-up. If any person who is unauthorized to pick up a child comes to the center and request the child to be released to them, parents will be notified and the child will remain in the care of Immanuel's staff and teachers.
Snacks and Lunch
There will be a nutritious snack provided in the morning and afternoon that will include foods and milk or juice. Each month you will be billed for the milk or juice your child has ordered for these snacks. Each child should bring his or her lunch to school in a container clearly marked with his or her name. A refrigerator is available for storing lunches.
Observing our Program
To become acquainted with the group leader, director, and school please feel free to come in and observe the program at any time. Hallway observation windows are also available to parents.
Parent Volunteering
Parents who volunteer at Immanuel Lutheran Church or School will receive free day care if they sign up their child to use the Child Care Center one week prior to the date they need service. Volunteering must happen at the church or school during regular daycare hours and appropriate forms must be complete. Field trips or other off-site volunteering does not qualify for free daycare service.
King's Kids Summer Program
Immanuel also has a summer program called "King's Kids" Day Camp which includes field trips, swimming, and many enrichment activities.
